Accomplishments
We just missed the deadline for MSR but we have a nearly completed paper. We are exploring alternative models to expand and improve ours, which is still touchy, before publication. Currently we are focused on fasttext.
Weekly Goals
We plan to debug our fasttext model and run it on our data. Maybe even attempt to integrate it into our current model.

Week 16
Accomplishments
We are having problems running our model. We've decided to run it on a new data set which, means I have rewritten my statistics code for this new and much larger data set. There were a few minor problems with the transfer. The formats of the times were different and the titles were all different, but after some minor tweaks it was working fine.
Weekly goal
We plan to fix the model and still submit in time for MSR.

Week 15
Accomplishments
We have completed most of the paper now. We have the related work, methods, introduction, and abstract done. Hannah has worked more examples with our convolutional neural network. The deadline for MSR is approaching quickly and we're quickly working to finish the paper.
Weekly Goal
We hope to finish running the model on our data and write the rest of our paper.

Week 14
Accomplishments
I finally have the code working for our first small data set. We have basic statistics on the data such as number of cells, average number of tags, and average number of title words. We also have plots about how they use of tags change over time, from day to day.
Weekly Goal
This week we are writing a paper hoping to submit to MSR. I plan to write an overview of all the literature we've reviewed. and information about the data.

We worked a bit on the midterm report and polishing up our versions of the paper. A little coding as well, but all of us are distracted by finals.

Accomplishments
The paper has been submitted, and we planned out our next paper or two. With finals approaching things have definitely slowed down.

Accomplishments
The final version of the paper is ready and after Alina and Bonita revise and approve it, we'll submit it. We are also still looking at our code and trying to remove some bugs.
